When it comes down to resolving (many) obscure IT issues, we can’t say it enough… and I know, sometimes we sound like a broken record.

“Have you reset power?”

… to your desk phone, cable modem, firewall, network switch, laptop (or desktop computer), cell phone, or whatever electronic device is acting up.

Sound familiar? 😁

Well, it’s all for good reason.

Caveat: This doesn’t resolve 100% of the issues we all face during the course of our busy day, but it’s a great first step to try any time you find that something is acting strange, or not working at all.

Repeat after me…

“When in doubt, reset power.”

Write it on a Post-It and stick it to your monitor if it helps.

And spread the word…

This one step can save you time and aggravation, so it’s worth including it in your troubleshooting repertoire.
