There may be times when IT is busy or isn’t available and you need to take matters into your own hands…
Have you ever found yourself in one of these situations?
- You are moving to another office and you can’t find an open ethernet jack.
- You’ve rearranged your office and the ethernet jack is on the wrong wall and out of reach.
- You work from home and your cable modem is located on the opposite side of the house or on a different floor.
These scenarios can be a cause for concern.
So what do you do?
For starters, you could use your mobile or desktop app.
And while that may help in the short-term, let’s assume that you want to continue using your desk phone.
One possible solution is to have a new ethernet jack installed.
This is certainly a viable solution, but there’s a cost and time involved.
If you have a newer phone, why not tap into the phone’s Wi-Fi capabilities?
That’s right, newer phones have built-in Wi-Fi which is a perfectly suitable solution in this situation (in most cases). Especially if you work from home… Just make sure you have a power adapter.
There you have it… a simple solution to a minor problem.
