Who remembers the Speed Dial feature from the old phone system days?

If it’s been a while, let me jog your memory.

Speed Dialing was a way to quickly call frequently dialed phone numbers. Your vendor would program the numbers into your phone system and provide you with a list of names and the corresponding 3-digit code.

To call one of the entries, you would simply press a pre-programmed “Speed Dial” button and enter the code.

And voila, your call would start ringing.

I know what you’re thinking – BIG DEALlol!

But it was kind of a big deal 30 years ago!

Nowadays with Outlook integration and screen-dialing, Speed Dial has lost its luster. Maybe even fallen by the wayside.

Until now!

When we were recently asked by a new client to program the cell numbers of 10 staff members they frequently needed to call.

So we set it up and they were ecstatic!

Let’s consider this a public service announcement in case you have a similar need.

You’re welcome… 😁
