[Who] remembers “Going Mobile”, one of the many hit songs on The Who’s classic album Who’s Next?

If you need a refresher, check it out here.

Why do I ask? Because goin’ mobile is the theme of this post.

The song was produced almost 40 years ago. And although there’s no correlation, it’s only been a few years that phone systems have truly had the ability to reliably go mobile.

And I’m here to tell you it’s time to explore your system’s mobile capabilities.

For anyone looking for more efficient ways to use your phone system, there’s an app for that.

Perhaps you’re trying to streamline communications:

  • Because of a distributed workforce.
  • Or to be more responsive to your clients.
  • And to stay in touch with busy exec’s or road warriors.

There’s a simple way to accomplish all of these scenarios.

And goin’ mobile provides this functionality and more…

How?

Well, for starters, you can make calls (from anywhere) as if you’re calling from the office.

But wait, there’s more!

You can dial internal users, simply by calling their 3 or 4-digit extension number.

And you can receive inbound calls to your extension, direct dial number, or departmental group – anytime, anywhere – within the boundaries you set.

Need more reasons?

A mobile app lets you quickly and easily deal with voice mail messages.

Collaborate with text messages as yet another way to communicate internally with everyone.

You can record calls, access your extension’s call history log, retrieve a parked call, start a web meeting, or change your availability (aka “presence” status).

And one of the handiest features – you can transfer calls to other users. Try that with your cell phone ?

Specific capabilities are dependent on a few factors including your system, model, licensing, and user preferences. It’s for this reason that we encourage you to contact your IDeACOM representative for details and assistance. We’re here to help!

Gotta go… I’m goin’ mobile!
